Can this short film be any more French? 2 years of work, six months of post production editing, 4 locations, 3 panthers, a stunning super model, this "Odyssee de Cartier" is truly a gem. A voir... absolument!

At home with Annie
In Uzege, a dreamy area in Gard, southern France, Annie, an American stylist originally from New York, transformed this old farm into a glorious home full of character. Simplicity, the use of local artisans and craftsmen and respect of the original structtral elements were key elements in this renovation. What a serene spot!

Paris pics
I know, I am late on posting my Paris trip pics, but this French flu bug hit me hard and I am barely recovering from it. So here is a selection of my Parisian moments... The highlights of my trip were a tour of Paris monuments and shop-hopping with my friend Claire in her shinny cherry red Vespa [priceless], a sunny Sunday five-hour-walk with my mom in the French capitale [keyword : sneakers], spending some good time with my dear friend Anne Marie who came to visit from Aix en Provence, Maison et Objets and discovering a couple of awesome shops [I will tell you more about it soon], meeting with two awesome ladies and fellow bloggers, Anna, whom I already knew from a previous trip, and Lau, who is just as fresh and spontaneous as her lovely blog. And of course, meeting with Paris, my all time secret lover...

At home with Muriel
As you know, I just got back from my trip to Paris. I brought back lots of pics and new crushes, but unfortunately, I also brought back with me a nasty little flu bug that kept me in bed almost all weekend :-(
So while I recover from my French cold, here is a lovely Parisian interior I discovered through Marion Alberge, a French stylist I truly admire....
Muriel lives in Porte de St Ouen, Paris. She remodeled an old apartment into a light filled open space loft. Walls have been painted white, oak floors sanded, color accents added throughout the flat. What a lovely and welcoming interior!

On my way back from Paris...
So long Paris, au revoir! As always, it breaks my heart to say goodbye to you but as much I am in love with you, I miss my loved ones. They say "home is where your heart is", and I have to agree with that statement more than ever. But I will be back. I will, as you always have that same effect on me. Just like a lover. I love you, Paris. Take care. A bientot. Xo, Si-

Hello new week!
Hello there and happy Monday! No need to say that I am super excited about this week because I am packing for Paris. At the same time, the travel bug hit me so I am super busy finishing my long list of to-dos before departure. I won't complain though. Being super busy because Paris is awaiting for me is not such a b****, is it? Wishing you a happy and productive Monday! Xo, Si-

Paris, j'arrive!
In less than a week, I will be in Paris! I can hardly contain my excitement... I will be busy with work, but I won't lie, I will have fun too! Unfortunately, I am not sure I will be internet connected at all times, so I don't plan on posting much while I am there [I will update my Facebook page with freshly taken pictures whenever I find a decent internet signal] but don't expect regular postings. Rest assured I will catch up with you when I'm back [I'll tell you all about my Maison & Objets 2012 exhibition discoveries and product crushes!]. Oh, Paris, I am coming, and I can hardly wait to see you! Xo, Si

Today, I am loving...
Today, I am loving this small bedroom full of great storage ideas - because not everyone sleeps in a master bedroom or lives in a 3500-square-foot house. This bedroom achieves a minimalist look, yet it is part of a 25 square meter flat - [270 ft²] in the heart of Paris. If you look closer, you'll notice that the bed disappears in the wall if needed [so fully extended it's a bed, half hidden, it becomes a day bed, and fully in, it's an empty space!], thanks to a raised floor behind the added drywall that stores what's not to be seen. Proof that creativity and ingenuity are what's important in interior design [and that architects and interior designers can really make wonders - this space is the work of Double G agency in Paris]. Brilliant!

More of Jacqueline Morabito...
Remember my post a few months back about photographer Martin Morrell? Well, it turns out that the interior I had a crush on and showed you some pictures of was no less than Jacqueline Morabito's interior design work. While browsing through my Cote Sud magazine, I instantly recognized the shots from Martin Morell. Same house, same vibe. So I could not resist showing you again this house located near Vence, France, with some more details of Jacqueline Morabito's distinctive style. Oh, this is beauty, pure beauty.

Today, I'm loving...
Today, I am loving this bedroom, all dressed up in white but with the "Orange Hermès" color accents. What a clever idea to reuse Hermès packaging boxes as photo storage files [and how lucky to be able to have purchased so many items from Hermès, one of my favorite French luxury brands].
Let's not mention the Haussmannian features of the bedroom: high ceiling, wooden wall moldings and chevron wooden floors. Bliss. Just pure bliss.

House Tour : Therese + Antoine
Clothing designer Therese lives in Montreuil, a Paris suburb with hubby Antoine and daughter Mia. They remodeled an old wood joinery workshop into an industrial loft with vintage treasures found in flea markets in France or Korea, where Therese is initially from. The space mixes skillfully industrial notes, ethnic tones and strong colors. What a treat!
