Review :: Picaboo (Free 20-Page Large Hardcover Book)

Today I received my Free 20-Page Large Hardcover Photo Book from Picaboo.   (If you are interested in creating your own book, see the end of this post for a link to the details)

I used this opportunity to create a portfolio book to show potential clients and interested parties.   Free downloadable software is required to create the book.  The software is fairly easy to use and allows you to drag and drop your photos into a variety of templates.   You can also customize your layout, which is what I did (you know how I am).

The process of downloading the software, dropping my photos in and customizing my layout took less than 45 minutes.   Once you have your book saved, upload it to the Picaboo server and check out.  You do have to pay shipping costs ($8.99) but the book is regularly a $39.99 value.

I was reasonably happy with the results....the inside pages are nice quality, the photos look nice and sharp.   The cover is slightly flimsy for my taste.   I much prefer the cover on the book I created with Blurb last Christmas.

I'm not sure that I would have paid $39 plus shipping for this book....but I do think it's a nice book, decent quality and for $9, I am not complaining!   I would use this service again if I had a coupon....

Thanks, Picaboo for the deal...and if you are interested in taking advantage of this, check out the following link:  http://www.picaboo.com/coupons/explain/FREEBK
