Today I'm loving...
...the "Rewrite" desk from Ligne Roset designed by Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi. Loving the cosy and protective shield this desk offers with its egg shape, perfect to write secret notes. Beautiful design!
time off + weekend!
Off to celebrate Thanksgiving my dear, so no more action on my end until Monday. Happy Thanksgiving to my US readers, for the rest of you out there, have a fabulous end of week and a fantastic weekend! Xo, Si-

I ♡ The Pigeon Light
Oh my, I'd been eyeing the Pigeon Light designed by Ed Carpenter for a while and Maya's room, my youngest daughter, has a sticker as a headboard, and for some time now, I've been searching for the right accessory that could finish the look... Tadaa! Here comes the Pigeon light [ordered online through a fab' UK shop called Theo, but be warned, Theo's selection is quite yummy and highly tempting]. That was the missing accessory. Maya loves it, and I love it so much, it actually crossed my mind to steal the lamp from the poor kid...

House Tour : Therese + Antoine
Clothing designer Therese lives in Montreuil, a Paris suburb with hubby Antoine and daughter Mia. They remodeled an old wood joinery workshop into an industrial loft with vintage treasures found in flea markets in France or Korea, where Therese is initially from. The space mixes skillfully industrial notes, ethnic tones and strong colors. What a treat!

Trend alert : customize your white walls!
Loving this new "wall customization" trend that imitates real furniture. Cheaper than the real deal and so much more fun. Remember my post about going crazy with the sharpie pen? Well, it turns out I am not the only one with this crazy idea. Better off, some pros give here a lesson that with a white wall, a sharpened pencil or sharpie pen and a good dose of creativity, you can be your own Picasso. And remember, don't freak out, as long as you have a leftover can of the wall paint [always test that it is still usable before starting your project], covering up your Picasso moment is as easy as a fresh coat of paint. Fun, fun, fun I tell you!
Saturday's Special Treat : Unhate
This is the new spot for the Benetton campaign titled "Unhate" and promoting the new brand's non profit organization. Directed by Laurent Chanez, the film once again positions Benetton as the brand that crosses universal taboos. Some highly controversial posters relay the campaign [see them all here]. Be warned, this film is not for young audiences, but its message is ageless. Powerful.

Today, I'm loving...
This kitchen/family/home office space for its mood, blue and taupe hues and Smeg ice blue fridge. This is pure bliss.

Why you should stage your home
I was recently a guest blogger at Your CNY Home Blog, an informative real estate blog produced by The Pei Lin Team in Syracuse, NY.
I have had the pleasure of working with The Pei Lin Team for several years and have seen first hand the lengths they go to provide top notch service. They know what it takes to get homes in and out of the market quickly and they know the value of home staging.
Check out their very insightful blog and my article on Why You Should Stage Your Home.
A renovated farmhouse in Italy
Volumes have been carefully restored in this typical Lombardy region Italian farmhouse. A great attention to detail, finest use of material in interior design and spacious outdoor rooms protected by porches give this property a peaceful and relaxing feel, in complete harmony with its countryside surroundings. Gorgeous spot.
Sponsor du Jour: Delica
You might recall a "Shop crush" I had a few months back about Delica, an online shop, or for those of you who are “regulars” on this blog, some pics of chez moi with some of Delica's home accessory products. So it’s no wonder that I am beyond excited to welcome Delica as a blog sponsor.
Launched by talented California based artist Yuni in 2009, Delica is a mother and daughter collaboration, designing and creating felt work together. While designing for Delica, Yuni is currently pursuing her graduate degree in architecture. Delica offers a deliciously attractive collection of felt home accessories from felt pebbled magnets to door hanger mobiles or very unique felt necklaces. Delica is for sure an online store you’ll want to check for your Christmas list shopping, especially if you’re looking for unique handmade gifts [shhh… even for yourself ;-)] |

Decorated Stair Risers
I wanted a new look for the stair risers at my Smart Move Design office but didn't want to paint. This was done in an hour using wrapping paper. (I found the paper at Hobby Lobby and it had a nice one inch grid on the back for easy cutting). I cut the paper to size, painted modge podge on the risers, placed the paper on the risers and smoothed it out, then trimmed with an exacto knife.
